Take Root & Write Devotionals (TRWD) is here to encourage, empower, and equip all women all over the world.
We believe that we’ve been given a unique opportunity to reach women where they are through Take Root and Write, Rooted Living Magazine & Christian Women Take Root and it is our hope that God’s Word would be brought to everyone wherever they are spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.
Our devotionals should be something that will challenge and motivate our readers to get more “Rooted” in Him and His Word. All of our devotionals are written on a voluntary basis and the authors must own the rights to any of the works that are submitted to TRWD.
All devotionals submitted to TRWD should seize the attention of Christian women and inspire them to be all that God created them to be.
Please Read Our Statement of Faith before Submitting.
Devotions should be;
- Uplifting and void of condemnation (Romans 8:1 NIV)
- Reflect a Biblical Worldview (John 14:6 NIV)
- Contain a Bible Verse (With Scripture Reference and Translation, ie. John 3:16 NIV) *(See accepted Translations below)
- Contain a Photo *(See Picture Resource Links Below)
- Contain a Short Prayer at the end for the Readers
- Have a Challenge or Question for the Readers as a Take Away
We would like to have devotionals that help our readers get more “rooted” in the Word. We would like them to be authentic and real, as well as practical. This is not a time to sound harsh or critical, but kind and caring. This is an opportunity to share personal stories, experiences, and analogies that show a very real and authentic Christ.
Devotions need to be written to fall under one of our Channels.

- Life’s Challenges
- Our Lifestyle
- Our Relationships
- Who We Are
Devotions should be approximately 400-700 words in length, and should be proofed, edited, and ready to go when submitted to our Editors.
Devotions must be submitted in Microsoft Word for Windows format or in Notebook.
At the top right of the document include:
Which Channel your submitting for, Your full name, Telephone number, URL, word count, and email address.
Authors should also include a short bio (3-5 sentences) and photograph (high quality jpg) for the devotional.
We will try our best to consider all submissions, but unfortunately, we will not be able to include all the devotions that are sent to us.
Please remember that all writing is done on a volunteer basis.
